Hi, I'm Tom 👋🏼
I'm a product designer specialising in UX/UI.
I've always been interested in how things work and why people do what they do - I want to create products that bring genuine value to the people that use them.

My career so far...
I graduated from Loughborough University in 2017 with a degree in Industrial Design and a Masters in User Experience design, where learned about design & research principles, prototyping & testing and the communication of creative ideas.
I spent the next three years at Red C/Appoly, a design & development agency in London, working with clients to bring their ideas to life. Here I learned how to quickly understand their vision, challenge assumptions and develop the idea into a tangible product; utilising user journeys, sitemaps, wireframes, high fidelity screens designs, prototypes and design systems to produce a finalised app or web platform - ready for development. As the design team grew I was also responsible for mentoring a junior hire.
In 2021 I joined companiions, a tech startup with a direct-to-consumer native mobile app. Alongside driving the design and development of new features & improvements, I have also been able to develop my skill set away from design. As product lead I have successfully supported the company during a shift from B2C into the employee benefit space, activating a clear product roadmap and communicating with senior stakeholders, to align commercial requirements with the needs of our users.
I excel at transforming complex problems into simple and intuitive digital solutions, working effectively with people from all walks of life and being a positive voice within any team - supporting all members to do their best work.
